Certificate and diploma (TAFE)

1. Check the program entrance requirements and confirm that you are eligible to apply for the program you are interested in.
2. Check if you are eligible for a government subsidised place
3. Determine from the table below how you need to apply—this will depend on the level of study and when you are applying.
4. Apply using the appropriate type of application by the closing date.
5. Check and complete the extra requirements by the closing date.
6. If you receive an offer from RMIT, you need to either accept it by enrolling or defer your offer.

Equity access

If circumstances have interrupted or disadvantaged your access to education, RMIT offers equity access schemes that allow selection officers to give applicants extra consideration, which may improve your prospects of studying at RMIT.

TAFE enrolment

TAFE students will be enrolled according to how qualifications are defined in the relevant industry training package. This could differ across training packages. Some students will commence at the advanced diploma level with the opportunity to exit at lower level programs, while others will progress up through qualification levels to achieve their desired outcome.

If you commence at the advanced diploma level your eligibility will be assessed once at the commencement of the program. If you commence at a lower level and progress through the qualification levels, you will be assessed at each individual qualification level.

The outcome of your eligibility your assessment will determine the tuition fees that you will pay.
