Understand your offer
Demand for places at RMIT is high. To avoid disappointment, we recommended you accept your offer as soon as possible.
There are three types of offers:
-
Firm offers indicate you have met all requirements for the chosen program.
-
Conditional offers indicate you must meet the conditions stated on your letter of offer. Conditions may include forwarding your examination results or achieving an improved English language test score. If you receive a conditional offer you may still need to fill out a standard acceptance form. If you do not meet the conditions you will be given a refund (conditionals apply).
-
Packaged offers require students to successfully complete the first RMIT program or English program before accepting the second offer. For example, if you are offered a pathway program for Foundation Studies followed by a diploma or degree program, you must successfully complete the Foundation Studies program before accepting the packaged offer.
Change of preference
If you have an offer from RMIT University but wish to apply for another program, simply complete the Change of preference form (PDF 59kb 2p).
Unsuccessful applications
If your application has been unsuccessful you will receive a letter stating why you have not met the selection criteria. Where eligible, an alternative pathway will be offered leading to the program of your choice. Alternatively, check other RMIT study options available to you.
