‘Download a degree’

RMIT on iTunes U featured in The Age, 17/9/09.

The popular ‘Macman’ column in The Age recently featured an article on iTunes U, including an interview with the Deputy Vice Chancellor regarding his vision for RMIT’s involvement with the service.

From the article:

iTunesU opens an opportunity to establish a site where students build the content. Students want to be involved in creating knowledge, not just acquiring it.

“Many academics of my generation still conceive of information as being the task of education and it is not. Students understand that. They know they can get information faster in electronic ways.
