Art student shines light on TAFE

Diploma of Visual Art graduate Sara Crotty, who has just started in the Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) degree has been awarded RMIT’s most Outstanding TAFE Student of the Year for 2011.

Sara was nominated by the staff within RMIT’s School of Art for her strong work ethic, high level of art skill and determination and drive. Sara will now be put forward as an applicant for the Victorian Training Awards.

“Sara has been an exemplary student. She has demonstrated commitment to RMIT School of Art and provided strong leadership qualities amongst her peers” said Belinda Wilson, Program Manager, School of Art-TAFE. “In nominating Sara for the award, supports her pathway into higher education and enables her to remain in the RMIT School of Art community. Sara has demonstrated a quiet confidence and great determination to complete her studies to a high standard. She has demonstrated leadership potential and initiative and has solid academic record” continued Ms Wilson.
