College of Business Per Diem Policy

The University on the 30 May 2007 introduced a Per Diem policy for all staff. This policy supersedes the RMIT Business policy, which has only applied to teaching trips.

The new RMIT University Per Diem policy will enable us to extend its use for travel connected with the support of RMIT core objectives. On the 3rd May 2007, the Portfolio Executive Group (PEG) agreed that the new policy will apply to travel related to:

  • Teaching trips
  • Marketing (i.e. attending Graduation Ceremonies)
  • Student Recruitment
  • Business Development

Conference attendances and research related activities are to be determined on a case by case basis by the Head of School.
