The second running of the RMIT Amazing Race was once again a big success.

Almost 70 students took over the Alumni Courtyard as they organised their team strategy before taking to the city to complete the mental and physical challenges in the quickest time possible.

Many teams had coordinated fantastic uniforms and brought some extra colour and fun to the day. The winner of best dressed on the day going to team We-Nurse for the fantastic effort they put in to making their uniforms.

Challenges for the day included a trip to Haigh’s for chocolate tasting, winning a game of snooker, and making some purchases from the Vic Market on a budget. Teams were also required to decipher cryptic clues that would lead to locations such as Pony Fish Island.

Finishing a clear 20 minutes in front of the next best team was The Big Fat Koalas, made up of four German exchange students proving that local knowledge isn’t necessarily an advantage. Rounding out the top three were Guacamole and Goon Squad who finished just four minutes apart.

Presentations were then made with prizes for the top three teams as well as the best dressed, followed by lunch. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday for a free event.

See you at the next RMIT Amazing Race!
