Robina Bamforth
Robina’s experience working in the higher education sector and TAFE spans some 25 years during which time she has worked at most of the universities in Victoria, and spent a short time at the University of South Australia and at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. These roles were many and varied, focused mainly on program and resource management but also involved working directly with students providing counselling and course advice.
Robina’s first qualification was in primary teaching, she later added studies in prehistory, anthropology, and then environmental science at postgraduate level. She has also completed an MBA program.
On a more personal note, she is a foster carer with Good Shepherd Youth and Family Services and works with the Victorian Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of Offenders (VACRO). Her interests lie with the creative arts—mainly film, dance and theatre. But (sadly) she admits to supporting the Demons (Melbourne Football Club).
