Students must follow the steps below (in sequence) in order to complete registration and enrolment formalities.
This step is mandatory for all commencing international students. You will not be permitted to enrol without attending International Registration first.

It is expected that students will enrol by the advertised enrolment date as late registration/enrolment may not be permitted.
Please bring a copy of your acceptance letter and/or a printout of your eCoE. You will also need to bring your passport and visa (to confirm your citizenship).

After registering you need to attend a program specific Information Session, conducted by your School, where you will be provided with the program structure and specific advice about courses you need to enrol in. You will also have an opportunity to meet program academic and administrative staff and you will be provided with information about Orientation.
After you have attended your School’s Program Information Session, you will be ready to enrol online. You can enrol online in supported labs on campus or online. Details about the Enrolment Online System will be provided to you at International registration.

If you applied for recognition of prior learning (RPL) or credit transfer (also known as exemptions/advanced standing) at the time of application, your offer letter would have stated the number of exemptions or the advanced standing you are eligible for.
In order to be granted exemptions/advanced standing you must lodge an application with your School in first semester. Simply complete the RPL/credit transfer form (PDF 88kb) and lodge it before the census date. Do not enrol in the course for which you are seeking credit transfer. If you are not eligible for exemptions you will enrol into the standard program structure as normal.
Applications for RPL or credit transfer will not be accepted after the census date.
Being granted RPL or credit does not automatically mean you will study part-time. Your program duration will be shortened to reflect the credit granted. You must then enrol in a load suitable to complete within your new, expected duration.
For more information, please refer to the Credit transfer and recognition of prior learning web page.
Late enrolment (up to two weeks after the official University commencement date) is permitted for some programs. Please email isu@rmit.edu.au to check if late enrolment is allowed. On arrival in Australia please immediately report to the International Registration Point where you will receive details of where and when to enrol into your program.
